My name is Bettina and I’m the Designer, CEO and founder of House of Avida - Couture and Charity.

I need your help from donations so I can met buyers and get into new markets by attending fashion fairs, fashion shows and fashion showrooms and continue this journey I began 6 years ago. My gold is to give back to the universe by helping fellow humans in need of a helping hand by doing the thing I’m good at and love doing .. which is designing. I make beautiful designs in high quality for women and men that last for years. 1% from the orders and sales goes into my charity fond. I use the rest of the money from customers buying my designs to give work to the factories and suppliers making the order and creating new designs, attending fashion shows, fairs and showrooms to met buyers and in the end everyone is happy because it’s a circle of good energy made by love.

I have a Charity fund attached to House of Avida; for every sale 1 % will go into the fund.

The story of House of Avida

Bettina Pagh is a Danish designer and founder of House of Avida Copenhagen with a degree from the Danish design school, Margrethe-School also know as Scandinavian Academy of Fashion Design https://safd.dk/, http://margrethe-skolen.dk/historie.html and a degree from The Design and Technical Tailoring Academy of Copenhagen also called Copenhagen´s academy of pattern and construction/ Copenhagen Tilskærer Academy www.k-ta.dk., since 1986.

The Margrethe School was founded by Margrethe Glad in 1931 and is named after the school’s patroness, Princess Margrethe, of Bourbon-Parma.

The Margrethe School is located in the heart of Copenhagen. For over 90 years it has educated a large number of the leading clothing designers, stylists and business people in the Danish and foreign fashion world. It is today internationally known and respected for, as formulated by Createur Erik Mortensen: “not simply to have explained and learned about fashion, but also insisted on inspiring the students to find the core of all forms of creation, fashion and aesthetics.

Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte is the school’s patron and the school has set up a fund from which the Benedikte Prize is awarded. The Margrethe School has had the pleasure and honor of educating Her Royal Highness, who has since maintained her attachment to the place.

Margrethe School’s graduates have achieved great recognition and success both nationally and internationally.

The Technical tailoring of Copenhagen/ Copenhagen´s Tilskærer academy was founded in 1904 by N. N. Moesgaard who also developed the system that remains the foundation of all teaching. Tailoring is not the only craft that turns the sketchbook’s elegant lines into a finished collection. Tailoring is also the basis if you want to work with haute couture, ready-to-wear or sew historical costumes. Teaching is effective and individual and aims to bring out the best in every student. No matter what the goal. Wherever you encounter cutting as a craft, you will meet professionals who have attended Copenhagen´s Tilskærer Academy or Margrethe-Skolen or both of them. Copenhagen’s Tilskærer Academy is Europe’s oldest specialised tailoring and pattern construction school.

For many years Bettina designed original custom-made Haute Couture to private customers using her own name, with the brand Bettina Pagh Creation. The wish to expand and create affordable yet exclusive fashion couture brought House of Avida to life.

“I wanted to create high-quality, exclusive designs with a timeless touch.” says Bettina Pagh. “The designs are avant-garde yet timeless and classic, with a strung of 80s and 90s rock’n roll, one of my favorite time periods, full of life and passion. Separate A from Avida and you get Vida, which means life. Separate the last ‘a’ and spell Avida backwards again, and you get Diva. I was called a Diva as a loving nickname …. but we all got a little bit of a Diva inside … don’t we? This is a Diva´s house of life. “ explains Bettina Pagh.

CHARITY FUND

My Charity Fund attached House of Avida – Couture and Charity® is a central and very important part of the business. The Foundation provides self-help to fellow human beings in need of a new start in life so that they will have the ability to change their living conditions.

The Charity fund can give loan or donations to projects which can change life conditions for the better to one or more people. The Foundation provides self-help in the form of donations or loans on particularly favorable terms for fellow human beings in need of a new start in life so they can change their living conditions. Project which can make a difference in living conditions for one or more than one person can apply to the fund.

From each sales from the collection 1% will go directly into the Charity fund.
