THE ROAD IS LONG....AND ITS NO PICNIC!
Today I officially started the trial to stop the cancer! I took the chemo medications and the new experimental medicine too. Now we wait to see how it effects me. I haven’t had medicine for 7 months now because of being on the trial that didn’t work.
Background of all this: I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and am dedicated to defeating this foe for my grandson my daughter and my husband and my kindergarten students and the people of my school. If I do I will help others with cancer this way too! We have financed this ourselves for 2 years now. We need help financially regarding the needs my illness presents. I am entering clinical trials and will need to miss work and travel even more to see new doctors. Very expensive! We would never ask if we could continue without the help of others. But we have reached the point now where we are at financial hardship. Please help if you can! I must continue to fight cancer to stay alive for a few people who I make a difference for. Thank you for helping me! We are both out of leave/sick pay- so now it gets scary! This is how people go bankrupt with cancer.
Just wondering/throwing this out there: - Because I am now not able to help my daughter either - If anyone has a car that runs but that they just want to get rid of - that is not a stick either. Please let me know. I need to find one for my daughter now. She is having a baby girl soon and her car stopped working- no one knows why either! Gosh! So much all the time!
My Thoughts: I believe in God. I believe He is always there so never give up. I have seen the great difference each day can bring: But what makes me happy is knowing that I was able to survive emergency brain surgery, emergency spinal surgery, and then (believe it or not) a blood clot in the lungs! - All just 2 weeks apart each! I think I should be able to write a book by now with all that! Crazy!
