I called the company for my chair and based on my weight and height measurements the chair that would fit me is $200 more than what I raised. ... The chair is $2395 and the battery is $340 so the total is $2740 without taxes.
I’ve put it out into the universe because God always works miracles. This is humbling but necessary, so here I go. For a long time I have been needing a personal mobility aid to help me get around. As a result of my Sickle Cell disease as many of you know, I have had multiple hip surgeries, back surgery and wear portable oxygen because of chronic lung damage. Getting around is difficult.
But my mind is active, my spirits are high and I have a message on my heart that the world needs to hear! I need to get around!!! I need to be a part of my church family, whether at a conference or meeting outdoors. I need to make it to other places as I try to do SickleCell awareness and advocacy . I’ve used wheelchair to help me during physically difficult times for over 10 years, but it doesn’t offer independence as someone needs to help me push it. Please help me get moving!
