WHAT IS GETPPE.ORG?

GetPPE.org helps healthcare workers and caregivers get personal protective equipment (PPE) so they can do their jobs safely. We match donors and volunteers to a growing list of 900+ hospitals and facilities in need across the US. Our volunteers have donated  over 300,000 essential protective items, including sewn masks and 3D face shields. GetPPE.org and our volunteers in the Million Mask Challenge have been featured on Science Friday, NPR, The Wall Street Journal, and other media outlets.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

In order for us to grow our operations, we're looking for financial support. Funds will be used to cover the operational costs, including software, hosting, SEO, backlink and network building, and social media management. We have thousands of volunteers using our website each day and updating our infrastructure is critical for continuing our operations. We have been funding all operations out of pocket.

In addition, our volunteers have been personally spending on material and shipping costs to send donated items to areas of need. We'd like to offer prepaid shipping labels for volunteers to send the masks, face shields, and gowns to healthcare workers. We estimate that with $45,000 in donations, we can provide financial support for an additional 150K donated items.


ABOUT ME
My name is Jessica Choi, and I created GetPPE.org to help the medical workers who are impacted by the surge in COVID-19 cases in the U.S. I have family and friends who are in the front lines of this global pandemic serving as doctors, nurses, and first responders. I fear for their safety as they continue working during this time without the personal protective equipment they need to be safe. We all have a responsibility to keep our communities safe.
