Please help Bill get an Artificial Leg

Please meet one of the most loyal Pittsburgh Steeler fans in all of the world, my brother Bill Seighman! Bill's life changed drastically on September 4, 2013 when he lost his left leg below the knee due to a diabetic ulcer and gas gangrene. My brother Bill has worked since he was in high school. Unfortunately, Bill is what you would call one of the "working poor". He has worked as a security officer for the last 20 years but none of his employers have ever offered insurance or any other benefits.
My name is Jamie Seighman-Gillispie, I am Bill's sister. My best friend Elizabeth and I are trying to raise money to help pay for Bill's much needed artificial leg and some of his medical expenses which, not including his Prosthesis, are $14,000. At this time, he is unable to work and he has no income at all. His prosthetic will be $5000 for a basic leg. I know Bill will be eternally grateful for any help that you could offer. I am very proud of the way he has handled this tremendous loss; he has been upbeat 90% of the time! He is looking forward to returning to work when it is physically possible.
Bill and I have several things in commom besides being Steelers fans, we are both big animal lovers and he has always been a fan of horse racing. He followed Barbaro's courageous fight for life along with me and we cried together when Barbaro went to Heaven. He still wears his Barbaro bracelets everyday! Bill is also a faithful Uncle to my "herd" of 8 cats and 3 dogs.

Jamie has been Bill's faithful nurse, cook and driver since the amputation. She has even gone so far as to "walk in Bill's shoes". She wanted to make sure she understood all of the frustrations and hurdles Bill faces on a daily basis so she frequently will also attempt anything Bill does by lifting her leg behind her to recreate tasks such as getting up from a couch, using the restroom, going up even 1 stair with a walker etc. Jamie is devoted to Bill's care until he can get back on his "feet" and we are all so grateful to anyone who donates and takes the time to read Bill's story.
