My name is Mathew McCoy, father of 4 crazy kids, Navy Vet of 8 years. I caught a virus 3 years ago that gave me congestive heart failure , cardio myopathy (sp?) and 34 % pvcs. I currently live in Huntington Wv, and do to a certain procedure I have to have they are Sending me to Cleveland Clinic for Multiple appts with a Electrophysiologist. They want to perform a compound surgery. One surgeon will cut me on the side and go in and manually lift my artery. The 2nd doctor will then perform the ablation. That being said we only have 1 vehicle that my wife needs to get to work and take care of the kids. The money needed is to be able to rent a car and cover some expenses to get to Cleveland multiple times as the first appt is set for Feb 24th. I'm not sure the date of the actual surgery. Normally I would never do this as I am a proud person, but unfortunately I'm not able to work due to this issue and I'm on a fixed disability income that pretty much covers the mortgage. Thanks to my amazing wife we have been able to keep our head above water , but leaves 0 extra in order to try and make it 6 hours away for multiple doctors visits if I didnt truly need this I would just cancel it and be done with it. So much has happend this past year I dont even know where to begin. But if you donate thank you seriously from the bottom of my heart. As I said in used to being proud and being the strong man but these past 3 years has taken its toll on me. To finally get to a place through the va where they say they can fix me was a dream come true. Now comes the logistical nightmare that I just cant do without help. Thank you for your time.
