Tyler was involved in a hit and run accident August 3. 11pm in Pawtucket. The vehicle hit him head on in the crosswalk causing him to go airborne leaving him several feet from the crosswalk. Tyler continues to recover from having both legs broken. He’s made significant progress during his recovery, but still has a way to go. (Full story and description below) Tyler’s recovery expenses are beginning to increase as some unseen injuries were over looked with the severity of his broken legs. He’s still dependent on the support of his wheelchair and crutches getting around and no telling when he’ll be able to return to work. Any help to him would be extremely grateful. On Monday, August 3, 2020, at approximately 11:00 PM, a pedestrian was struck in the crosswalk causing him to go airborne at the intersection of Exchange St and Roosevelt Ave. The male victim sustained serious bodily injury and was transported to RI Hospital for medical treatment. The striking vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim and witness both described the suspect vehicle as a midsize, Honda SUV, silver, and bearing partial registration of “NK” or “XN-5**”. The vehicle should have significant front end damage from the collision. The operator of suspect vehicle was described as between medium and dark POC, female, approximately 30-40 years of age. The victim and witness reported to police After he was struck by the vehicle, the women got out of her vehicle and said "I don't have time for this #%,*., have a good night" She then took off leaving him begging for help in the street.
