After 7 years of waiting patiently and never getting "the call".... IT HAS FINALLY HAPPENED!!!!! I have been accepted to compete in the Tournament of Tease in Las Vegas for the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend !!!! This is a dream come true for me.
It has come, as a complete shock & surprise and of course..... Quite bad timing!$! Over the last 9 months I have been putting all my money towards putting myself through beauty school and then these last few weeks have seen me move interstate which has exhausted any savings I had!
The costs of going to compete in this event are quite high. The ticket to the event itself is costly, as it is a fundraising event for the Burlesque Hall of Fame. Plus flights to the U.S.A, accommodation, living expenses. Plus the act that has been chosen is 6 years old! Which means the costume needs repairs and an overhaul, plus new shoes, Rehearsal space hire, makeup and jewellery! (This is VEGAS..... You gotta go BIG or go home!)
This event happens in the first week of June so I really don't have much time to get everything prepared and paid for on my own.
I am the only Australian that has been selected to compete this year, so I definitely need and want to make a good impression! I am humbly asking for financial assistance from the amazing community of people I am surrounded by, to help me represent Australian Burlesque as best as I can.
Any contribution, large or small is greatly appreciated!
