"Get Skip Fit" - Lucy Webster Ankle Op

Hi there,

Girls & Women's football is growing hugely in Stevenage and the surrounding area. Aided massively by the great work of the foundation & our amazing women's team.

Unfortunately, our Captain, and amazing ambassador for the club, Lucy Webster, suffered an awful ankle injury in a preseason friendly which requires an operation.

Without the operation, there's no way Lucy will kick a ball again, but with a waiting list of possibly 9 months to a year, PLUS another 6 months post-op recovery, Lucy could face being sidelined for TWO full seasons.

IF she can get the operation done privately with our help, she can have the surgery within a month and hopefully be back to full fitness before the start of next season!

As Lucy is a self-employed Dog Groomer, she's also on her feet all day which is becoming painful and difficult with the ankle pain.

Lucy is extremely humble and it was a bit of a job to get her to accept us supporters setting this up. But she has helped and continues to help inspire SO many young girls into the game they love.

She goes over an above to make sure every young fan or aspiring female player gets her time and attention at matches.

She's an all round good human and frankly, we need her back on the pitch and more importantly, living her life without ankle pain!

If you're a Stevenage supporter, or just a follower of the women's game and want to donate a little (or a lot!) to get this operation done ASAP, it would mean the world to us and Lucy.

As well as the physical pain of the injury, having to stop playing the game you love for possibly two season is pretty gutting.

Lets do what we can to help get our Skip fit so she can continue to inspire the next gen of female ballers!
