Get Ryan new legs! 4 furry ones!

Donation protected
Family and Friends - As many of you know, about 7 years ago, my brother in law Ryan was diagnosed with a rare form of adult-onset muscular dystrophy (LGMD2L). The disease is characterized by the loss of muscle composition in a person’s limbs. There is not yet any treatment or cure. Though Ryan is fortunate to be experiencing a slow progression and muscle loss only in his lower body, the disease has had a big impact on his mobility. About a year ago, with the support of his doctor, Ryan and Rachel began exploring the possibility of a service dog to provide balance and mobility support.

We have just received word that the service dog agency has matched Ryan with a dog. Ryan is tentatively scheduled to enter advanced training with the dog in February. Though the agency covers a large portion of the costs associated with raising a service dog, there is still a fee of $5,000 that is passed on to the partner (Ryan). Ryan will also need to stay out in Hershey PA for three weeks during the advanced training so there will be additional costs associated with extended lodging.

I have decided to help raise money in hopes of helping Ryan and Rachel cover some of these costs.

Now, let's get Ryan some new legs! ... The four-legged, furry kind!
