get Pete bladder stones surgery

Hello!

As many of you know, my cat passed away last December. She required extensive supportive care, vet visits, accessibility aids, and medication, and as all her care including her euthanasia had to be done at home, I had the additional costs of home visit fees, etc. This, and the costs of her cremation, ended up completely emptying my veterinary emergency fund, and due to my ongoing financial hardship and some unexpected beginning-of-the-year expenses, I have not had time to put more than a hundred or so back into it.

Pete, my wonderful dog, began to get ill a week or two ago, and after coming up with 350.00 for a vet visit, I got him in for diagnostics and the radiographs found that he had six large bladder stones that are causing him pain and problems. Some more diagnostics yielded up the bad news: the best option--the only option--is going to be surgical removal.

This isn't cheap.

I am working with my vet to try and find a cheaper location for his surgery, but to be honest, it looks likely that this is already an estimate on the low end for my area. If I can find a cheaper surgeon, I will update the goal.

I am actively working on getting as much as I can myself without asking for outside help, including:
  • selling off my blythe collection + accessories (not a very valuable collection; if I manage to sell I don't anticipate more than maybe 300-400 for this)
  • running some adoptables fundraisers between working on my current commission backlog
  • running two art auctions (hoping to get around 200-300 for these combined)

As you can see, even if I manage to sell everything and get top dollar, I'm still only looking at less than half of the total for the surgery. I am working on securing other financing as well, but it's not looking great and after hours on the phone I am not sure how many choices I have available to me.

I do not qualify for loans or Care Credit, etc., so my only option is to turn to y'all for help, humbly, once again.

I have a little bit of time to make this happen unless he crashes suddenly, but not a lot. I would appreciate any help in making this happen.

My current self-gathered total, after the diagnostic visit, for the surgery is: 920/2200 dollars (which is about where I expect the total to fall based on the itemized estimate). I will update this as I get more for the fund. I will update the goal for the campaign as I add to this as well.

Losing Lolita hurt me a lot, but her condition was terminal, and the best I could do was make her comfortable. Losing Pete would be devastating, especially to something that is treatable, if only I can find the cash. Thank you so much for your help.

If I am unable to fully get the funds for this surgery, all donations will be refunded back to their individual donators.
