A bit about me: Any body who knows me knows that I have wanted to have a career in Musical theatre pretty much my whole life. I have done performing arts clubs since age 8. I completed performing arts related subjects at GCSE and A-level. As well as lots of extra curricular activities including singing in my band, the school jazz band and working as an extra. As well as giving back to the community by doing charity gigs and teaching children. I am now in my second year at the prestigious Emil Dale Academy where I have been training towards a BTEC in musical theatre. In the last few years I have been lucky enough to play 'Eponine' in an amateur production of Les Mis as well as 'Little Inez' in Hairspray at the Factory Playhouse Theatre. Moments like these have made my passion grow.
What I need the funds for: I have been so lucky to have been accepted onto the course at The London School Of Musical Theatre for September. I am one of the 4% of auditionees to successfully gain a place. Many people from this school go on to be performers in West End musicals and TV so going here would equip me to fulfil my dream. HOWEVER the fees cost £15,100 (and there isn't a student loan available)and unfortunately I am from a disadvantaged background; currently living with my mum who is a single parent who is unemployed due to disabilities. So this is a massive amount to us. I have the LSMT grant of £2000 and have another £5000 from a sponsor but I am struggling to find the remaining £4000. That is hopefully where you come in...
When I need the money by: The full £15,100 has to be paid 6 weeks prior to my course starting in September (end of July).
How your support would help me: Going to this school would change my life and let me do what I have always dreamed to do. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated whether is £2 or £200.Hey, If every one of my Facebook friends gave a fiver that would be the entire fees. Please donate and I will buy you front row tickets when I am the West End ;)
