Get My Solution to SXSW Conference

People say education is failing our kids. I have a solution that works, and EVERY dollar you can give gets me closer to sharing it with the world.

The happy lady in the front with the Miss Frizzle hair and the glasses is me. The happy girls are my students, and I'm telling their success stories for them and their classmates at the amazing global SXSW (South by Southwest) conference in Austin, Texas in March of this year! 

Our class uses Theater, community role models, entrepreneurship, and technology to engage students to achieve, and the great folks who organize SXSW want me to teach other teachers and administrators to do the same. They've sent me an invitation -- I need to get there!

What is South by Southwest (SXSW )? It's a global conference where progressive business leaders, artists, tech experts and now educators get together to find out what's next in global trends.  They think classes like mine will help keep education relevant, and want me to present my class in a "Future20" seminar.

Round trip flight to Austin: $479
Transfers from Austin Airport to hotel and back: $80
Hotel accommodations for the conference: $1,883
Two Extra SD cards for my camera phone to record approved audio: $58
