Get Juliette Helmet Therapy

Juliette is my 1 year old daughter, and has recently been diagnosed with severe brachycephaly and moderate right side plagiocephaly (commonly known as 'flat head syndrome'). The treatment for this involves the use of a helmet, which is the basis of this gofundme page.

Juliette was the smaller of my two twin daughters, weighing in at only 2lbs 4oz. Because she was born prematurely (9 weeks early) and spent a lot of time in incubators, her head shape was moulded flat as she was unable to roll around until much later. The advice from the NHS was to change her positions frequently, which was obeyed but unfortunately to no avail, Juliette's head remained uneven. The helmet in question is from a private firm specialising in this type of deformity, and tailored specifically to Juliette, hence the cost. This also covers regular check-ups to ensure she's progressing as expected.

The clinician has categorised Juliette's brachycephaly as 'severe', and recommended taking action soon before her skull hardens and there's nothing we can do.
