Get Jim and Nein a Switch

Donation protected
Ever since I was but a wee child, staring longingly into the game stores where Switches were definitely being sold, I've always felt a deep desire to be one of them. The elite. The... the Switch owners.

Okay, joking aside. Nein and I don't really have the regular income necessary for the initial Switch investment, and anything people can pass our way to help us get one would be super cool. If you don't know who we are, I am an administrator on the Nuzlocke Forums, helping keep it running so people can host their playthroughs and such there. Nein hosts two comics on there, actually - UndefiNed, a story focusing on N after the events of Black and White, and Milos from Home, a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon comic featuring the misadventures of two would-be rescue team members. We are dating. It's all kawaii and shit.

Anyways, that's why the Switch is for the both of us. The new Pokemon games are fast approaching, and it would be, as the kids say, hella, if the two of us could get to play them when they come out instead of being this meme in a few months' time.

Here's where the money is going, roughly chunked out in order of importance. We don't strictly speaking need the full 600 dollars, but it's like stretch goals! Except this isn't Kickstarter so we can't do that.

~$330: a new Switch. The big boy kind, Nein would like the freedom to undock the controllers from the screen and not have to languish in Lite Hell. "It's like a 2DS, and that was bad." I think that's about how the tax would work out for that? Maybe? Well more is safe anyways.

~$130: Pokemon Sword and Shield double pack. We can probably make do with just one copy in a pinch, but where's the fun in that, really. Nein would prefer Sword and I just really want the Onion boy from Shield. He's a good lad...

~$65: Breath of the Wild. Yeah we've hit stretch goals fully at this point. The justification here is... Breath of the Wild is good, and I think we deserve to have it. What more can be said.

~$65: Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Indulge my inner weeb, and maybe let me badger Nein into playing. It would be funny. "Look, if we make it that far, I can play that one blind, and I can do a Let's Play of it. I don't know anything about Fire Emblem. They're in Smash. They're actual people, and there are too many of them. I don't think Pit's one of them. I think Pit's something else."

So if you're willing, spare a bit of money to help Nein avoid spoilers because they're going to play the games instead of just out of habit. And help me indulge my anime children combat simulator addiction, perhaps.

"Is it like... a fighting game?" I'm not answering that so they can go in totally blind. They'll figure it out. If you pay.
