Save the Family of Gaza’s 1st 3D Game Artist Hazem

The ongoing horrific Gaza genocide has made no place safe for any Palestinian in the Gaza Strip, whatsoever.

23 year old Hazem and 6 of his beloved family members have, like most Gazan's, been displaced multiple times in the past 3 months; a shocking 5 times to be exact. Their situation is dire and the need to get out of Gaza is a question of life and death.

For Hazem and his family, an inadequate makeshift tent close to the sea is their temporary shelter, making living conditions unbearable due to the relentless cold and rain. The rising spread of disease and infection as well as the threat of starvation makes the plight of Hazem and his family extremely urgent.

We are launching an urgent fundraiser to aid Hazem and his family in getting the necessary paperwork done so that they can cross the Rafah border; ensuring a safe passage to Egypt. In order to get out of Gaza through the Rafah border, Hazem's best friend, Bushra, in Egypt has to secure the following funds urgently:

1. 10,000 USD (15,150 AUD) per family member to Egyptian intermediaries.

2. 5,000 USD (7,575 AUD) life saving aid to help them get settled in Egypt

3. 2000 USD (3,030 AUD) for fees associated with Gofundme

About the family you are saving:

Before the genocide started, Hazem had worked tirelessly in order to achieve his dream of becoming the first ever 3D game artist in Gaza. Despite how difficult it is to obtain the equipment due to the blockade on Gaza, he worked various jobs in order to save up and purchase the very costly equipment. He has had to leave his home and his equipment behind to save his family and himself.

Hazem is left with the responsibility of providing for his family of 7 and of getting them to safety. A feat that is proving to be more difficult by the minute, as the assault on Gaza continues and intensifies.

Hazem's family in his own words:

Hazem's Mother (43 years old) - "She is the backbone of our family, my best friend and the biggest supporter for all of us"

Hazem's Father (50 years old) - "my dad is a very simple man who has spent his whole life taking care of us. It pains me to see him sick and unable to access basic healthcare. I can see his heart has been broken over what has become of us as a family right now"

Hossam (Hazem's younger brother, 20 years old) - "He is studying to be a mobile app programmer. He dreamed of becoming established in the programmer field but now his only dream is to lay eyes on our family home that we know nothing about"

Farah (Hazem's younger sister, 17 years old) - "She is my closest sibling and protege. Farah loves to draw and was interested in learning animation so we could work together someday. Her High School year was cut short by the assault on Gaza"

Hala & Mohammed (10 and 7 years old) - "They are the soul of our household. Their stories, playfulness and laughter filled our home with joy but I will never forget how terrified they are by the constant bombardment"
