Get Hayden a Van to Live

Below is my old campaign story back when I wanted to save for a van to move. That’s old news and I don’t see that happeninganytime soon, right now I just want my car fixed. 

I’ve never been good at writing these things and I apologize for that but;

Hello, My name is Hayden, I am a 21 (22 soon) year old trans man of color, and I need help getting the van I need to live on my own and get out of Alabama and head to somewhere I think will be both easier for me to live at physically and mentally. 




Though I do appreciate being able to work somewhat, my current job is emotionally taxing, and despite working roughly 30-40 hours a week, which keeps me from pursuing my career in art, I never seem to be able to save up enough due to paying for food, my current car’s damage, and the basics in cost of life. 




As it stands I genuinely do not think I can continue to scrap by in a town I feel stuck in with a job I dread, especially considering they have been withholding checks they owe me and the co workers that I genuinely enjoy and who help are (rightfully) leaving to better careers. The job itself is not covid safe either, and multiple coworkers have gotten sick to which the management hide from most.




This year is my chance to get out.




 So far my parents have been allowing me to live with them rent free, paying for my own bills and food, but as they are leaving town soon-going with them would mean loosing my job anyway and paying more bills which will keep me from saving the little I have been-I feel like this is the chance I have to leave this state completely and live a life I want.




I have my eyes on a used van I can live in and drive up north to a more stable environment this summer before my parents move out, and I am saving to my ability but it is not likely I will be able to even hit close to the amount I need to pay off the loans and gas and moving in general, even if I save 90 percent of my check every two weeks. 




I really need help, and with encouragement from my close friends I am hoping I will be able to reach the life I actually feel worth living.




Job stress, worrying for my future and my over all mental  health issues keep adding up and I don’t want to live this way anymore, I want to start a completely new life somewhere I know I will at the very least acquire a job that pays more than this city is offering me, in a state who’s minimum wage isn’t just seven dollars and change.
