Get Carrborobotics to Worlds!

Hi! We are a small robotics team from Carrboro, North Carolina. We recently placed 10th in the state, and qualified for the global competition, a.k.a. Worlds, in Houston, Texas. We are super excited to go, but to do that we need lots of funding. Between robot parts, food, and plane tickets, it is incredibly expensive.

Our team may be small, but we are very passionate about what we do. This competition introduces us to like-minded peers, who we regularly consult for robot advice, allows us to network with older engineers, such as the judges and mentors, and is an incredibly fun and team-building opportunity for us.

Beyond bettering the students in our team, we also aim to elevate all schools in our community. We work with our local lower schools, Mary Scroggs Elementary and Culbreth Middle, bringing our own interactive events and robot demos to spark an interest in robotics at a young age.

This money will be used for travel expenses for the team (plane tickets, hotel rooms, food, gas, and rental cars) and parts for our robot. Any leftover funds will be used for off-season costs (Unofficial competitions, an off-season robot, and spare parts for next season).
