Get Annie to Saudi Arabia!

Hello, friends! As many of you know, I am studying Arabic at the University of Mississippi and, over the past year, have found a real passion for the Middle East. I believe God has placed the people of the Middle East and international policy on my heart to serve His Kingdom in that specific region. Thanks to my loving sister, Whitney, and her husband, Joshua, I have been given the opportunity to intern at the United States Embassy under Joshua's father in Saudi Arabia this summer. Joshua's dad is currently the American Diplomat in Saudi Arabia, and is welcoming me into his home for a few weeks this summer. While in Saudi Arabia, I will be meeting with a number of different department heads at the United States Embassy as an intern under Dr. Ross, to better learn about the region, its people, and American relations with the area. I will get a firsthand look into the culture and livelihood of the people of Saudi Arabia, and I will hopefully be learning a lot about how we, as Christians and Americans, can relate and better love the people of the Middle East. As you can clearly see, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, and I truly believe God has given me this opportunity as a gift that I simply cannot pass up. As a college student who works three jobs, finding the funds to travel to a foreign country by myself is difficult. I am asking for $1,750 in donations to get a plane ticket to Saudi Arabia, and am saving money and hopefully receiving university donations to cover the rest of the trip. Thank you so much!
