etlichen Monaten in der Vorbereitung für den Internationalen Cup
(Weltmeisterschaft) im australischen Staat Queensland an der wunderschönen
Sunshine Coast. Die German Eagles Frauen und Herren Mannschaften haben seit
dem letzten Internationalen Cup in 2017 einige Erfolge verzeichnen können. In 2017
wurde die Herren Nationalmannschaft Vize Weltmeister in der 2ten Division.
2019 konnten beide Nationalmannschaften Erfolge mit dem jeweiligen dritten Platz beim European Cup in Schweden/Stockholm verzeichnen und die Frauen

Nationalmannschaft wurde zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte, seit der Entstehung
der AFL Germany Frauen Liga in 2018, Vize Europameister.
Um weiterhin Erfolge aufbauen zu können, benötigen wir
nun Ihre Unterstützung. Da die Teilnahme an Internationalen
Meisterschaften immer mit Kosten für jeden Athleten verbunden ist, würden wir uns sehr über eine Spende von Ihnen freuen.
Wer sind die German Eagles?
Die German Eagles sind die deutschen Nationalmannschaften im Australian
Football (auch Footy genannt). Der australische Fußball ist die National Sportart in
Australien. Bei diesem Spiel, spielen zwei Teams mit jeweils 18 Spielern gleichzeitig
auf einem 185m Durchmesser ovalen Spielfeld. Es werden vier viertel mit jeweils 20 Minuten gespielt.
Beide Nationalmannschaften haben sich
für den diesjährigen Internationalen Cup qualifiziert, welcher alle 3 Jahre stattfindet und die inoffizielle Amateurweltmeisterschaft ist.
Beide Mannschaften schicken einen 28 Spieler starken Kader und werden
gemeinsam un den Titel kämpfen.
Jeder unserer Spielerinnen und Spieler präsentiert die Farben Schwarz, Rot und
Gold mit Ihrem Herzen und Ihrer Leidenschaft für den Sport.
Wie können Sie die German Eagles unterstützen?
Jeder Athlete finanziert seine Teilnahme an den jeweiligen Meisterschaften aus dem
eigenen ersparten, um Deutschland auf Internationalen Level präsentieren zu
dürfen. Durch diese Kampagne ist es uns ein persönliches Anliegen, die Kosten für
unsere Athleten/innen zu reduzieren und durch Spenden und Partnerschaften mit Firmen und Organisationen den australischen Football noch bekannter zu machen.
Ihre Unterstützung macht es möglich, dass sich jeder Athlet/in voll und ganz auf die Vorbereitung konzentrieren kann und somit weitere Erfolge gefeiert werden können.

„The road to the International Cup in Australia 2020“ July 25th to August 8th
For the last few months both German national teams have been preparing for the
international cup (world champs) in Australian football that will take place in the state
of Queensland at the beautiful Sunshine Coast in 2020. Since the last international
cup in 2017 both German Eagles men’s and women’s teams have brought home
some successes. In 2017 the German Eagles men’s team became vice world
champion in Division 2. In 2019 both German Eagles teams brought home the
bronze medal at the European Cup in Stockholm/Sweden. The German Eagles
women’s team also became European vice champions for the first time in history
since the build-up of the AFLW Germany in 2018.
To build up more success for both German Eagles teams we now require your
financial support. As the participation at international championships comes with self-
funded cost for each of our athletes we would be very thankful for every donation
coming from your side.
Who are the German Eagles?
The German eagles are the two national teams that represent Germany in Australian
football (also called footy) on national and international level. Australian football is
the national sport in Australia. During this game, two teams each consisting of 18
players will compete against each other whilst playing on a round sporting field with
a diameter of 185m. Both teams compete against each other for the duration of four
quarters with the time length of 20 minutes. Both national teams have qualified for
this year’s international cup that occurs every 3 years and is only being played by
teams that play the sport on amateur level. Each of those teams will proudly
represent the German flag and the national colours of Germany black red and gold.
Both teams will consist of 28 athletes that will fight together for the title of world
champion.
How can you support the German Eagles?
Each athlete covers all costs at his/her own expense only to be allowed and be able
to represent the German colours on international level. It is our personal goal to raise
enough funds through this campaign to be able to reduce the costs for all of our
athletes and create the chance of both teams to keep the focus on each individual
preparation instead of keeping the mind on the possible costs. That is why it is so
important for us to raise enough donations or build up partnerships with firms and
organizations over long term.
Your support makes it possible that each of our athletes can focus on their
preparations and that way we can aim for more successes in the future.
