Funds will be used to help defray the expenses related to Jerry's ongoing medical care.

Jerry was initially admitted to Fairmont in April and then transferred to Rochester with Kidney issues. In early June, he went back to the ER in Fairmont and was transferred to Mankato. Here is his daughter Courtney's update as of today, June 9... It’s been really quiet the last few days with not much new to update you all on. Dad remains in the hospital. All my days are running together, so I apologize for any mix-up.

We are on day 6 post-surgery of colostomy and mucous fistula (Friday 6/2). Not much to update there.

Monday (6/5) Dad went in for another procedure to have a cystoscopy done. We are waiting for lab results to come back on that. He is, of course, uneasy about those results.

Jerry still has an NG tube, and this is only being used for suction - not nutrition. I didn’t clarify that in the last update; my apologies. With that being said, he was NPO from 5/31 - 6/6 other than sips of water and ice chips.

I believe Tuesday (6/6), they were going to clamp his NG tube; however, this did not happen because he was taking too much water and ice chips by mouth that they needed him to slow down so they could get proper readings on how much his NG tube was suctioning out.

Wednesday (6/7), they decided to clamp his NG tube and try a clear liquid diet. He requested Jello & beef broth. He said after eating that, he felt like he just got done eating the pizza ranch and then some. It led to him being nauseous and anxious, along with high blood pressure and being upset with himself that he overdid it.

We are hoping that we will get lab results soon. Right now, we still don’t have any answers to why this all happened.

I am worried that this is significantly affecting dads mental health. Please continue to pray and send positive thoughts our way.
