Support Georgie through Breast Cancer Treatment

Our Best Friend, Sister, Daughter & Aunty Georgie has Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She’s a beautiful Yogi, nature-lover, artist, DJ and friend, who shouldn’t have to go through this in her early 30s.

Georgie first found a lump in the Summer of 2021, she spent the next two years going through intense rounds of Chemo and Radiotherapy, plus 4 surgeries including a mastectomy. It’s been a relentless time of stress, anxiety and illness for her. Then, at the end of 2023, she was told the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. Even the doctors are astonished as to how quickly and aggressively it has returned. So in Jan 2024 she started another intensive Chemo course.

To see our generous, loyal Georgie crippled by this awful disease, not once but twice, within such a short time is heartbreaking.

Her NHS medical team provides her with essential chemo and standard treatments. However, traditional cancer medication alone is not enough to ensure we are doing everything to help Georgie beat this, both physically and mentally. She has already spent thousands in the past two years on supplementary treatments, and now with the cancer spreading, there’s even more costs to manage that her standard NHS treatment plan won’t cover. How to afford potentially life-saving treatment should not be Georgie’s biggest stress, fighting her cancer should.

We’ve set-up this page to generate funds to support her. We are planning events, runs and other fundraising activities across 2024, and welcome anyone to get involved in any way they can.

Your money will go towards support from a local, trusted healthcare professional group (https://thehealthsuite.co.uk/) that can provide a holistic approach to every part of her treatment including additional toxicology testing, a bespoke supplement package, a nutritionist and a psychiatrist. She has begun what she can afford of this and already found it essential, especially to her mental health.

The full quote we are aiming to cover was estimated at £20k, this was dependent on her response to chemo and other factors. We will update here regularly and transparently as to what treatments will be taken at what cost, as and when this is confirmed with the experts. However the sooner we start, the quicker we can act and fund each cost as decided. If we raise more than what we need, everything else will go to a local Cancer charity.
