I’m a singer, harpist and community artist based in Leeds. This year I have been creating music for my debut album - a unique tapestry of traditional folk song, original compositions, haunting harmonies and lyrical lullaby. I need your help to take this project to its final stages so that I can record and release the album in 2021.

About the album
Last year I found myself on a beach in the Outer Hebrides learning the traditional tune The Eagles Whistle from a travelling tin whistler. Amidst the lapping of waves, the calling of the sea birds and the snap of salt air I was transported to another realm, where music dances with the landscape, soaring story through the ages. Before I knew it I was singing, interweaving my own words with this haunting melody and untethering the eagle in my imagination.
This moment became the starting point for the musical journey that is my debut album. Over the past months I have written 12 songs interweaving my love of traditional music with my love of imagination, story telling and improvisation. I’ve collaborated with musicians Emma Coleman (voice and cello) Rob Mackay (voice and flute) Evan Davies (voice and mandolin) and Joel Stedman (flute and guitar) to create rich arrangements that take the music to the next level. The final product is a unique sound that I am truly proud of.
Why I need your support
Now that the music is created we need to raise funds to pay for professional recording studio time, mixing, mastering, artwork and CD printing
Your support will allow this unique project to be realised . Having a professionally recorded album will be the next stepping stone in my career, helping me to showcase my work, expand my audience and make new connections for gigs and projects in the future.
