Georgiana's Duckhead Mural

Donation protected
My name is Michelle Black and I'm a muralist that is resident of Georgiana,  Alabama.

There was Duckhead Mural/Sign that was painted on the side of the brick building that used to be the hardware store. The mural brings back fond memories for those that lived or visited Georgiana, Alabama back in the day and yet, to this day, people still look for it or talk about it.

I would like to recreate the faded Duckhead Mural for the town of Georgiana. Through a lot of hard work and great communications throughout the community, we have found old photos of what the mural used to look like. Now that we know what it looked like, I can recreat the mural. The town would like the mural back and I'd like to do my part.

I would like to paint the mural to make it look like it never faded, never disappeared, never went away. Maybe in a small way, it'll help my town bring things back to life to an area that was once the place to be. If I can help make this happen, I'd like the chance to.

The money raised will pay for the paint, materials and supplies needed to complete this mural.

If you have any questions about the future mural, please feel free to contact me.
