Georgian House Fire Victims Fund

Fire destroyed the home of single mother Tiona Makharadze on July 29th.  With her  8 year old son Saba and 5 year old son Sandro, they have been living in a 7 foot by 7 foot shack with a dirt floor and no utilities for a month. This occurred in the Batumi (country of Georgia) ghetto sarcastically called "Dream City" in the Khevachauri suburb. Ghetto residents have heroically banded together working night and day to build four walls.  Neighbors donated labor and scraped together materials so that Tiona and her two sons would have shelter before the fall rainy season starts at the end of September.  But donations have dried up and they need rebar, lumber, and metal tin to get the roof on before the rains begin.  Neighbors are ready to continue volunteering.  Please consider donating to buy construction materials for this emergency need. Scaffolding and forming lumber donated must be returned in 20 days so we need to get the materials immediately. The family is exposed to insects and crime as their shelter is open and unsecured. This ghetto is no place for a single mother and small boys to be so exposed.  No donation is too small and most important as always are your prayers for Tiona, Saba, and little Sandro.  Please share this so that others may consider helping.
