Help George Quenzer/Ramiro Garcia

George and I have been friends for 35 years. He and his partner Ramiro have lived in their modest one level home for 12 years. They thought they excaped the flooding near Houston because they were about 30 miles North East of down town. They live a mile from lake Houston which flooded. Another lake had to have water released that also flowed into lake Houston yesterday August 28th. On Monday night the water started coming into their home and raw sewage backed up out their toilet and bathtub. They raised their furniture and clothes but the water kept rising. They called 911 when the water was waist deep. They lost their cars, clothes, appliances, and furniture. They were not in a flood plain so they were not required to have flood insurance. It will cost their life savings to get back on track. My hope is that this page could help them get a used car or a temporary place to live. Any amount will help.
