George's National Braille Challenge Trip
Donation protected
I am a Teacher of the Blind and I have a deserving student named George. George is 8 years old and in the second grade. He is considered totally blind. He is a Braille reader and attended the Regional Braille Challenge in Georgia where he placed 2nd in his age group. We recently found out that he made the National Braille Challenge Finals which are held in Los Angeles June 22nd! This kid has come so far and works so very hard. He is bright and has so much potential. As we live in Georgia, California is a long way away and flights are expensive. The Braille Institute provides housing for students and their families at the University of Southern California, but we have to find the funds to get to LA. To attend as his teacher, I will also need to pay for my own hotel room. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated and will help this amazing child achieve his dreams!
