If you were friends with George then you probably have a good idea of just how creative, funny, humble, dark, sweet, curious, troubled and loving a person he was. In the short time that we knew George we came to appreciate him as a talented musician and artist, a dedicated and loving father to Violet, a true and sincere friend, and a compassionate and caring human being. The moment we heard the news of his passing we had to do something to help give back to him and his family because we imagined him doing the same for us if our roles were reversed. That was George.

This fund is meant to help George's family through this difficult time with both funeral costs and to help care for his daughter, Violet, who now only has her mother, Vanessa Carey, to care for her. If you knew George, or even someone like him, another wide-eyed, well-meaning wanderer in this life, please consider donating any amount... for his family, for Violet, for George.
