Geoff's road to recovery

As some of you are aware, while others are not, I was in a freak diving accident December 29th of 2017 leaving me paralyzed from the neck down. I spent 10 days in the ICU recovering from cervical reconstruction surgery from the level of C5 to C7. Immediately after that, I was transported to Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, where I underwent physical and occupational therapy for a total of just over 6 months as an inpatient. Therapy has worked well thus far and I continue outpatient therapy twice weekly. As a somewhat recent development, I was accepted as one of only TEN Patient's in the country for an experimental stem cell program at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. I am very blessed to have this amazing opportunity! Although the clinic pays for the medical portion of the study, there are many extra expenses involved for trips (fuel, lodging, caregivers, food, etc.). I am hoping to help offset some of these costs with this fundraiser as I am on a very limited income while not having the ability to work at this time. Anything is much appreciated.
