Gene Morehead - The Fight Has Just Began

There are few men who cross your path that truly affect you in a way that always leaves you a better person than you were. One of those men is Gene Morehead. He's an exemplary husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Before we could escape 2020's path of disruption, he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Esophageal Cancer. This journey of facing 'the monster', is a first for Gene and the entire family to understand and navigate, but rest assured we are all ready for the fight.

For those who have walked this path, you know what is about to come. Gene begins his first Radiation and Chemo treatments next week (January 25th, 2021).  While there will be very little assistance with medical through insurance, it will not all be covered. Additionally, Gene will be out of work for several weeks (possibly months).  As you know, living expenses do not wait for a quick and safe recovery. They are still knocking at the door.  We want him to focus on the battle and not worry about anything else.

Gene's life story is one of extraordinary acts of selfless love and compassion for others. He lives his life fully by serving others, as Jesus would. Now, it's our turn to serve Gene. First and foremost, through the power of PRAYER and secondly, by easing the financial burden of medical bills as well as the heavy stress of living expenses in the coming weeks.

This is going to be a very tough, long road for Gene and his wife Donna. We pray everyday for a great prognosis, fast recovery and easy heart for all.
