Gender Affirming Surgery for Madelyn

My name is Madelyn and I’m a 24 year old trans woman. This year will be 4 years since I started HRT !! I’m currently taking steps towards gender affirming surgeries that I want, which is really exciting but also financially stressful. I’m hoping to reduce the overall cost by planning in advance when I’m going to have each procedure. My consultation for SRS (sex reassignment surgery) is coming up and then I’ll be on the waitlist. I’m also on the waitlist for facial feminization surgery and soon to be breast augmentation. I just wish to be as confident in my body as I can be, I honestly want this more than anything !!
Any donations will go towards the following: my health insurance out-of-pocket max ($7000), electrolysis for SRS ($3500), fertility preservation ($1000), plus dilators, travel, medications and etc. I would also love to help my mom fly out here to support me during the procedure and recovery.
I’m really grateful for everyone for helping me get closer to my dream, you’ve all helped relieve so much of my stress. When the donations first started pouring in I was crying happy tears. I’ve been working towards this for such a long time, and until this happened I was honestly just living in stress everyday. I was genuinely trying to save up for everything on my own, but I would think about the cost everyday and wonder how I’m going to get there. I would feel so discouraged about it and I was seriously struggling to ask for help. It feels very personal to be so open about what I’m doing with my body, however I know people care and want to support me. The insurance process continues to be mentally and emotionally exhausting as well. I’ve had every opportunity to give up every time something discourages me, but I keep moving forward because it’s so important to me. I want to be thriving and maybe that just means asking for help.
With all of that being said, I really believe it will happen and that it will work out. I’ve already come such a long way from where I started, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for me when I finally get past this.
