Gender Affirming Care for Knight

Hello, my name is Knight! I am 26 years old, a former foster youth, a political and gender science student at FSU, and I am a financially insecure trans person seeking a seemingly impossible to attain method of care. There are many misconceptions about gender affirmation and therefore the medical community, and the language surrounding it, still does not accurately portray the real lives, goals, and the variety present in the bodies of trans individuals. This has made attaining such affirming care difficult even in the face of support and medical attention. There is only so much that can be done, so much that is known currently, and yet so much I need to accomplish. I currently am seeking support for the costs of doctors appointments, the cost of my medicine, the cost of my spermatozoa banking, and all of the auxiliary affirming care such as hair, skin, facial, genital and other supplemental procedures that I will be charged with and undergoing in the days to come. This entire experience is something very hard for me to endure as I have often gaslit myself for “taking space away” from other trans individuals in greater need of support. This being said, feel free to reserve your support for BIPOC who are systemically oppressed by the colonial power structures in the west.
