Help Robin Geaux to Paris and Rome!

As a lover of art, history, and good food, my mother Robin has talked about wanting to go to Paris and Rome for as long as I can remember. And as someone who fostered my love of fine art and French cuisine throughout my life, I can think of no one more deserving to go to Paris and Rome than my mother.
While we've been talking, planning, and saving for this trip for years with hopes to go in the future, when Robin was diagnosed with metastic Stage 4 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, we realized that there's no time like the present to make this dream a reality. If she's ever going to go, it would need to be now.
When my mother was diagnosed in January of this year, they found that the cancer had already spread to the spine and brain. She had a prognosis of only 3-6 months, but with a new targeted immunosuppresive chemo treatment, it is estimated that she may be able to have a little more time. If she responds to the therapy (which we won't know for sure until May), she may live up to 18 months or 2 years. Flying with lung cancer in any stage can be taxing, but the farther it progresses, the less likely she'll be able to make the trip safely. This is why we're hoping to do this trip soon, preferably before her appointment in May when we will learn whether her current treatment is working.
Unfortunately, neither of these cities are cheap to travel in, but we hope that with my father's knowledge of Paris from his extended stays there and my mother-in-law's inside knowledge of both cities' flights, hotels, and attractions as a travel agent, we'll be able to find ways to make it work. Additionally, it is my mother's wish to see both cities with my brother and I, both for safety and sentimental reasons. The amount you see listed here is what we believe will cover the airfare, hotels (or Air B&Bs), meals, and attractions for both Paris and Rome over the course of our stay. I realize that this no small amount, but anything we receive would be an enormous help towards our goal. If you have an alternate way of helping (such as directly donating a night at an air B&B or tickets to an attraction, etc.), we would be equally grateful.
