Amy's road to recovery

Donation protected
Amy is a proud Mother, Wife, Daughter, and Friend. she is an amazing, beautiful woman. She is strong and smart, caring and kind. She is one woman who makes such a great impact on everyone she meets.

Amy and her family found out she had colon cancer just about 3 weeks ago and it has been an emotional and physical roller coaster since.

A large tumor was removed 3 weeks ago and found to be malignant by biopsy. This was during a routine colonoscopy.
An appointment with the Oncologist was scheduled quickly which resulted in the need to do a partial colectomy and resection along with removing at least a dozen surrounding lymph nodes, in order to be sure dr's had removed all signs of cancer and properly stage it.
The surgery was performed Friday 6/7/19 and she was recovering nicely initially.
By Tuesday it was apparent something was not right as she started having intestinal issues thought to be either Ileus or a small bowel obstruction. Things got progressively worse and it was decided by Friday the need to re-open and locate the blockage was necessary.
By Saturday night she was having a rough time again and vitals took a downward spiral necessitating a move to the ICU Sunday morning at 0500.
Sunday was touch and go as BP bottomed out and it was determined she was in septic shock.
The great team of nurses and doctors quickly took control and by the evening her vitals had re-stabilized. She will remain in ICU Monday until all vitals are stable and Liver and Kidney function tests show normal results.

On a positive note she is a FIGHTER! The biopsy of the new tissue and lymph node removal was cancer free so we may have that beat! With luck and prayers we may be back to a regular room by Tuesday and discharged by late this week if all goes well.

We created this Go fund me page to ensure that she will get the help she needs when she is ready to go home. This fundraiser will help support her with any medicals bills as well as any additional things she will need when she is out.

If any of you can donate, I know that it would mean so much to her and her family while we go through this tough time.

Thank you all for the love and support, she knows she is loved and cared for. Hugs and kisses
