my story

On January 30 2014 I was called in for a simple biopsy on my liver after doctors told me I had liver cancer. That day they did the procedure which was only suppose to be 30 min and an hour or so recovery, then back home. The doctors messed up and cut something that resulted in me bleeding internally. I stayed in the hospital 2 months and during that time doctors managed to stop the bleeding by doing surgery. They went through my groin and catheterized the spot. The blood made its way to my lungs causing my lungs to collapse. I had both lungs tapped then 2 days after both lungs collapsed again. I had chest tubes placed in each lung for days to drain out blood and fluid. Due to the blood loss, I received a couple units of blood.  Around this time my doctor came in my room around 8am one morning and told me I was going to DIE. Weeks later I was referred to a liver transplant specialist and after countless MRI's catscans ultrasounds and xrays scans she immediately said there was a tumor on my liver the size of a tenis ball that needed to be removed and tested. She also noticed 4 other tumors on my liver and pancreas. I went under yet another surgery where they removed a chunk of my liver where the tumor was, leaving the other 4 alone right now until they grow and cause pain. During that hospital stay (most recent) I had a fever that remained greater then 102 that couldn't get under control and also doctors notice my kidneys were failing due to contrast they injected in me. It's been a very long scary painful 10 months that I wasn't prepared for mentally physically emotionally or financially. I have racked up thousands in medical bills I wasn't expecting and on short term disability stopping me from paying anything. I set up this fund in order to raise money on behalf of myself.
