Gavin's Memorial Fund

On  January 17,2018  Brian Davis and Katlin Galant welcomed their miracle baby Gavin Patrick.He came to them three weeks early, weighing 5lbs 8 oz.  They brought him home to join his eagerly waiting  big brother Vincent. He was so very excited to become a big brother. Shortly after Baby Gavin arrived home he started to eat less food and became lethargic. He was rushed to Fairview hospital January 25, 2018. His temperature had fallen as well as other serious medical issues. Once at Fairview the hospital staff immediately recommended emergency transport to Cleveland Clinic Main campus Pediatric ICU. It was at this moment the fight for his precious life began.  He was immediately connected to a ventilator as well as a plethora of medications.  Dr.'s and nursing staff continued running numerous tests and procedures to help find some answers for sweet baby Gavin. Within 12 hours of intense hospitalization with the very best nursing care, he seemed to be responding to the treatment plan.  As lab work continued to come back during the evening it showed the results had worsened.  The entire family gathered to support and pray for baby Gavin to overcome this illness. Treatment continued vigorously throughout the following morning. The Dr.'s had come to the conclusion Gavin was fighting a severe infection and his prognosis was extremely guarded.  The pediatric nurses never left baby Gavin's side to assure he had everything he needed to be comfortable. We waited and prayed for a miracle. He was in liver and kidney failure.  He was fighting so hard to stay with his loving family.  The treatment plan was no longer working and he grew weaker. On January 27, 2018 surrounded by family and friends Gavin took his last breath in his loving mothers arms. He was only 10 days old. 

No mother or father could ever prepare for such a tragedy. We are asking for financial support to help with unforeseen medical expenses as well as funeral cost. Any little bit will help this family during such a difficult time.  Please Share Our Story !!!!
