Gavin Mason Medical Fund

On a Sunday, Gavin was learning to be a superhero and on Tuesday his little body was battling a vicious virus - one so obscure after three weeks it is still undetermined. Miraculous events transpired within a few hours as Gavin went from home to urgent care to St. David's ER and finally airlifted to Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas in Austin. After ten days in Pediatric ICU and now 12 days in Intermediate Care, the hope is to have Gavin home before Christmas in 12 more days. The virus caused muscle deterioration which attacked his heart and created the need for critical care, kidney dialysis and daily physical therapy to rebuild muscle and regain strength. Gavin is relearning how to walk, dress himself and do all the things a 5 year old superhero needs to do! Gavin's kindness and bravery help make him a favorite patient of all the Doctors and Nurses. We are raising funds to help with deductibles and co-pay portions for this year, as well as next year's on-going treatments.
