Please help our father to fight rare Penile Cancer

Donation protected
Hi everyone, our names are Camren Brooks (15 years old) and Jorje Brooks (10 years old) and we are fund raising for our amazing and brave father to undergo specialist treatment abroad, to help him fight the horrible disease that is Cancer.

On 23rd December 2021, our father was unfortunately diagnosed with an extremely rare form of penile cancer that had previously been misdiagnosed on 3 separate occasions and by 2 individual GP’s in the summer of 2021.

Sadly, misdiagnosis of this type of male cancer is a common story, as many GP doctors aren’t even aware that this type of male cancer exists.

Male Testicular and Prostate cancers often dominate the news and headlines, leaving this rare and unknown male cancer being missed by medical professionals.

Being told you have cancer is devastating news for anyone, let alone being only 44 years old, with no family history of this type of cancer.

Due to his misdiagnosis, our father under went a partial penectomy in January 2022, (a complete shock for any boy or man) in addition to having his groin lymph nodes removed and a round of TIP chemotherapy in the summer of 2022.

Unfortunately, the TIP chemotherapy did not kill the cancer in his body.

Our father Gavin, is a serving British Army Warrant Officer, with over 24 years service to Crown and Country. He has dedicated his life to the Armed Forces and we are proud to be called “Army Pad Brats!”

Our father Gavin is now classed as having N3 stage Penile Cancer and is extremely aggressive. Since January 2022, it has spread to other parts of his body, including his lymph nodes, pelvic nodes and pelvic bone (known as metastatic cancer).

The fight of his life truly begins, as he starts his 2nd chemotherapy treatment and 1st round of radiotherapy.

Because of its aggressive nature, we are seeking specialist cancer treatment not normally offered in the UK.

Any money raised will be used to help our father seek specialist medical treatments overseas in Germany, but it’s extremely expensive, and that is why we need your help and generosity to fund and pay for this life saving treatment.

Even if you can only donate £1 or even 50 pence, it will help us get our father the treatment he needs to hopefully kill this disease and to stop it spreading any further.

As his daughter, I need my father to beat and survive this disease, so he can watch me go to the Olympics and be part of the British showjumping team. This is my dream!

My younger brother Jorje needs our father to beat and survive this disease, because Jorje is adamant that one day he will lift the football ⚽️ World Cup for England as their top goal scorer - so our father definitely needs to be here to see that!

Any amount, no matter how small is greatly appreciated.

My brother Jorje and I (and our whole extended family) would like to personally thank you all for your help, kindness and generosity.

We wish you all good health and happiness.

Camren & Jorje Brooks
xx
