Gary's Chemotherapy
Donation protected
My brother-in-law Gary Thompson is the nicest man I know and everyone who knows him agrees. He met my sister at a low point in both of their lives and they put together a good life for their children. He is a 3 time cancer survivor who retired early this year and moved with my sister and her 20 year old son to a little cottage in the woods. It was their dream come true but 4 months later his health began to fail. He was diagnosed with liver cancer and the tumors are pressing on his pancreas interfering with his body’s insulin production so he needs to be treated for diabetes also. Then they found blood clots in his lungs meaning he has to inject himself with blood thinners too.
Since he retired early he is living on a partial Social Security check. My sister receives disability because she’s had major health issues since she was 9 years old. Gary’s insulin is costing him $600 a month and they found out on December 14 that he is not covered for the chemotherapy he needs for the cancer so he can’t begin that.
I’m starting this campaign because they have faced so much in their lives and they deserve to have a chance to enjoy that retirement they worked for. Anything that you can give this Christmas season to help get his chemo started would be a gift to everyone that knows and loves Gary. Thank you so much.
