Garrett Wilder recovery fund

On March 15, 2019 IBEW Local 66 member Garett Wilder was seriously injured in a work related accident. Brother Wilder was working for union contractor L.E. Myers doing routine transmission maintenance work. While ascending a concrete pole using 100% fall restraint, he lost his footing and fell into his harness and safety lanyard which was pelican hooked into the eye of the step bolt. The entire bolt assembly and anchor broke free from the concrete and Garett fell 45 feet to the ground. He broke both ankles (one very severely) and his back upon impact. He also has 4 broken ribs and and a damaged esophagus as a result of relentless CPR administered by a co-worker until medical arrived on scene. Garett currently is in the surgical ICU at Memorial Herman in the Woodlands. He has undergone several surgeries already and has a very long road to recovery ahead of him. I ask that we all pull together and rally around our injured brother at this time. He has a young family that he is unable to provide for at this time. Please give what you can so we can try and alleviate some of his financial burden as he fights to recover from these injuries. Anything you can give helps. Brotherhood and solidarity forever!
