Viking Family! It is that time of year again! The Garey High School Music Department is preparing for its annual Music Extravaganza - "John Williams of the music of the Movies." This year we are very excited to celebrate the music and magic of Pixar! The concert will feature the music from Harry Potter, Superman, Star Wars, and more! The Concert takes place on Saturday, May 26th at 8:00 pm, at the historic Pomona Fox Theater and we hope that you'll join us!
Garey Music serves the music education needs of over 100+ Band, Orchestra, and Choir students. The goal of our department is to develop a student’s lifelong love of music and to expand the student’s musical abilities through its course offerings in Symphonic Winds, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Percussion Ensemble, String Orchestra, and Auxiliary. We believe that these offerings will not only help to develop a student’s musical interest but, will also assist them in learning valuable life lessons such as teamwork, discipline, creativity and a strong commitment to excellence.
When our Vikings take the street for competition or the stage in concert, they will proudly represent our city, our school district and our regionally known high school performing arts program.
