Garcia Family - Rebuilding Fund

Steve & Rhiannon here, friends and co-workers of Anthony Garcia.

As you all know, Hurricane Harvey settled into southeast Texas and the city was pummeled with a record breaking deluge of rain.  Texas is certainly no stranger to Hurricanes and tropical storms, however this time was different. Areas who traditionally don't see more than some pooling or ponding on the roads, have found themselves under as much as 4-6ft of water in spots.

After almost 25 years of living in their home, The Garcia family -- Bennie, Cheryl, Hollie, Diego, Brooklyn, and baby Matthew -- having never flooded before, were forced to evacuate as water poured into their home.  With nearly 6 feet in their home for days, the entirety of the bottom level of their home was destroyed along with all of their vehicles and appliances.

Throughout the years, this family has always had an open door for anyone who needed a home, and many family and friends considered it sanctuary.  Whether it be somewhere to stop during their lunch break, a temporary home, or a place to hold a party, Crystal Palace, as it became known, was everyone's house.  Most people didn't even knock any more.  To them, it was just home.

These funds will be used to rebuild Crystal Palace:  new flooring, sheet rock, countertops, appliances, and as much as possible that was lost.  We have a long, difficult road ahead, but through your support and generosity, we can make it happen. 

ALL Funds will be directly available to Anthony, currently living in Toronto, who will deliver the funds to his family in Houston immediately.
