Ganer Home Rebuild After Harvey

As the world watched Hurricane Harvey pound the U.S. southeast coast, my in-laws watched as their beautiful home of 20 years fill with nearly four feet of water before their very eyes.  This home, their dream home, where they have raised their children and watched their grandchildren grow, has weathered many Houston storms and has never flooded until Harvey.  They do not have flood insurance.  Most people in this area do not. The pictures above show the progression of the flood waters.  As the waters recede, and they begin the cleanup process, it is evident the destruction left behind is vast and the feelings of loss are overwhelming.  One beacon of light in this time of darkness is the generosity and support from friends, neighbors, and complete strangers who have come out to offer their time, energy, expertise, food and tools.  These selfless people bring hope to this hopeless situation.  While they are getting help from strangers with the demolition of their home, they will need help from family and friends in the coming months for rebuilding efforts.  This home is filled with beautiful built ins, hard wood floors, and crown molding from floor to ceiling that must be completely torn out and rebuilt.  They are humble people who would never ask for anything from anyone, so I am asking for them; if you would like to help a family in need we welcome your generosity.  Any contribution is welcome, no matter the amount.
