Hi Everyone,
I am fundraising for Game Production Workshop.
This is a small company my husband Tom Johnson and I started back in 2011. The company was created to sell my husband's game Master Europa (a charts and rules replacement add on to the Europa Series of Games). Then in 2011 we decided since the Europa Series hadn't released a game in many years we would start working on a new series called OCMS. We have released 2 modules (Auspicious Beginning and The Beginning) and have been working on a 3rd module for the past 2 years. All this time we have used Tom's income to fund the company.
Last March our 54" digital printer decided to give up and we had to buy a new one. Luckily we are able to pay a monthly payment of $439.93. On this loan we have around $15k left to pay.
Because of Tom's health (heart issues) he was unable to work outside the home so this was his way of contributing to our future. He put all of his income into the company while I was working outside the home for the money for bills. Then in August 2018 my job duties were changing to something I wasn't happy with. Tom convinced me to quit that job and stay home working on the games with him, since we could make it with just his income I did. I started seeing him declining over the 2019 and in September he passed away.
Unfortunately for me and the company that meant his Social Security, Trust Fund, and the rent payments for the properties he owned no longer were available due to his death.
I did go back to work in November 2019 but that position didn't work out and I lost it. I have surgery scheduled for January 24, 2020 and will be unable to work for 5-6 weeks which will be around March 6 before I can start looking for another job. Unemployment so far hasn't come through either as of yet. So I have no income to pay my own house bills much less add to the company bills.
For the past 6 years we were getting a lump sum payment in January from the Trust Fund that we would pay the rent for the place we have the production equipment. Now that Tom has passed that lump sum payment did not come this year 2020 and I owe $5200 in rent for 2019 and January 2020, plus each additional months rent starting in February. This along with the loan payment for the printer means I need around $10k to be sure all can be paid as soon as possible. Rent needs to be paid soon,
Every donation will be greatly appreciated no matter how big or small it is. If you are able to give please help. If you are not able to give (and I do understand not being able to as I have been in this situation myself with friends asking for help) please share this with your friends and family who might be able to.
