Gabriel Saechao Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Gabriel Saechao passed away on May 28, 2020. Let’s remember him for his bravery as he dove into the Happy Valley Cutoff in El Dorado County trying to save two other friends. The current took him under and he lost his own life. Gabriel was only 20 years old. Funds raised will go toward his memorial service.

Gabriel worked at Safeway and attended Sacramento City College where he was finishing prerequisites for nursing. Like his mother, he wanted to become a registered nurse and serve to help others.

A new father to baby Leland Saechao who is barely a month old, Gabriel and his girlfriend Brittany Khamsa, were ecstatic as new parents. Unfortunately, his son will never have the chance to know him.

A son to Lou Saechao and Saysan Khamphanh, Gabriel will be honored forever in their hearts and never forgotten. Gabriel loved playing tennis with his family.

A fun big brother to two younger siblings, brother Madden Saechao and sister Jia Saechao. They will miss Gabriel taking care of them while their parents are at work and seeing him laugh and smile. They will miss playing video games with him because Gabriel was a big gamer.

A good friend to many in the Sacramento community, Gabriel enjoyed eating out with his friends and a good game of basketball. He will be missed.

Let us remember Gabriel as a happy young man, a loving father, son, brother, and friend. Service information will be shared when available so that friends and family may pay their final respects before laying him to rest peacefully. The Saechao Family thanks you for your donation in his memory.
