The following is written by Gabe's Cousin Veronica.
I bet you all have been scratching your heads wondering what Gabe has been up to or where he has been. I wish I could tell you that he left on an adventure around the world or traded it all in and joined a touring Donna Summer cover band. The sad reality is that on December 23rd 2017 Gabe suffered a ruptured brain anuerysm.
After 8 hours of surgery Gabe pulled through! Unfortunately the damage was more severe than any of us could have imagined. We have been by his side every step of the way hoping and praying for a miracle but it is with a heavy heart we have to say our worst fears are coming to fruition. Tonight we recieved news that my dear cousin Gabriel or Gabrielito as I often called him is not long for this earth. He fought for what now feels like an eternity and very soon it will be his time to rest with his beloved father.
As his family we humbly come to you for your help. We are in need of your monetary support to cover his "end of life" expenses. We are turning to you who loved him, had a drink with him, danced the night away with him, all those who listened to him or gave him advice, got mad at him and reconciled, laughed with him, cried with him and shared a memory with him for monetary support.
We are still holding out for that big miracle and that Gabe makes a recovery. The doctors have been fantastic and transparent ever step of the way. We have been explained that "BEST CASE SCENARIO" Gabe would need around the clock care the rest of his life and would use any monetary donations to go towards that.
We know this may come as a shock to you and you may have questions.
