Hello! Id like to introduce myself. My name is Angie Hamilton. On behalf of my sisterTanya and her family, thank you to all for your continued support and encouragment.
The Go Fund Me for Gabbies memorial expenses will now be transitioned over to our cause. To raise donations for the Gabbie Foundation, a nonprofit organization.
As we try to navigate our family through this darkness and grief, we remain strong in our faith and strong in our love for Gabbie and eachother.
It goes without saying, that losing a child and a sister has been the most life altering, life shattering, catastrophic event of their lives and probably always will be.
Because of this, they founded The Gabbie Foundation soon after she died. The idea behind the cause is to help other bullied children.
Mission statement:
Dedicated in raising awareness of verbal and physical bullying, cyber-bullying/cyber-stalking; Provide advocacy for students and their families; Provide counseling fee assistance for the victims and their families, as well as the child responsible for the bullying. In addition, educate the children, parents and schools with resources and tools for awareness and coping skills.
They struggle to understand and grasp Gabbies death. We hold onto the meaning of her life. Within that, they have realized a purpose. They believe this will encourage healing in their family and be a learning experience. As they will each be actively involved with the foundation.
Maybe through this, we can help and connect with other children and families struggling with this difficult issue. That is our hope and mission. So another child, another family will not have their life and their world torn apart.
