Gabbi Cook spent her first 2 years as a missionary kid living in Cusco, Peru. In 2012, after being diagnosed with a rare liver tumor called hepatoblastoma while on furlough in the United States, chemotherapy, and a subsequent liver transplant, her family was unable to return to Peru.
Seven years later, after years of talking about her life in Peru, it's time for Gabbi's first return trip to Peru! In the fall of 2020, the church that Gabbi's family's mission team planted will celebrate its 10th anniversary. This will be a great opportunity for Gabbi to make her first trip back since she left in 2012, and we are thrilled that she is healthy enough for an international trip. She is super-excited to see where she spent her first two years and to celebrate with the church family that hasn't seen her since she was unexpectedly unable to return to Peru over 7 years ago.
The money raised here will be used for Gabbi's airfare, and documentation. Any additional funds raised here will be used to help her little brother Conner go too.
