Londyn's Heart Surgery

Hi, my name is Nicole and I am fundraising for my little girl's heart surgery. Londyn Nicole came into this world on January 6th, 2022 at 12:34pm weighing 5.5 lbs. Aside from being a bit on the small side, she appeared to be a healthy baby. However, we were informed that Londyn could possibly have Turner Syndrome. Turner syndrome is a genetic birth defect that causes growth and hormone problems in females. On January 7th a chromosome test was performed to determine if she has Turner Syndrome ( we are still waiting on the results). After doctors submitted the chromosome test, a cardiologist performed an echo on Londyn. The echo revealed that Londyn suffers from coarctation of the aorta, which is a narrowing of the aorta. This condition is a common problem for females with Turner Syndrome. We were informed that Londyn would need immediate open heart surgery to fix the narrowing of her aorta. Unfortunately, our hometown Baton Rouge does not have any pediatric cardiologists that can perform the surgery. In the coming days. Londyn will be transfered to Oschner's Children Hospital in New Orleans to receive her open heart surgery to repair her aorta. After the surgery Londyn will stay 2 to 3 weeks in the NICU to recover. We are asking for help with our travel expenses we will incur while trying to be there with our baby girl. We need help with lodging, gas, and loss wages because of missed work.
