Team Miller's Fight to the End !

This is Ricky Miller husband, father and grandpa . Ricky was diagnosed with B cell ALL leukemia on October 24 ,2011 . Ricky received a stem cell transplant on June 19,2012 from a unrelated donor. Ricky has not been able to return to work because of his deteriorating Health. Although Ricky no longer has leukemia He has graft versus host disease which is a very debilitating disease . Graft versus host disease can effect any part of the body from the skin to internal organs. In Ricky's case it has affected His lungs . Ricky is now on oxygen 24 hours a day and has to use a BiPAP machine At night to help him with his breathing and to Help expel the co2 because his lungs are so weak this has become a problem for him . Ricky just came home from a 13 day stay in the hospital . Ricky is coming to the end of his journey and has set some personal goals for himself that I hope we can help him meet. Rickys hope is to have one more Christmas with his children and grandson. from a financial standpoint we are hoping to raise funds for a few things . Ricky's wife Dee is taking time off of work using the family medical leave act to be home to care for Ricky . Ricky needs 24 hour care so to keep Ricky from having to go to a nursing home to receive the care he need his wife has taken the time off of work to care for him at home. We now need to raise some funds to keep up with Ricky's medical expenses and to purchase a wheelchair trailer for the back of the car so Ricky can get around more easily. We have been blessed with the donation of a power chair for Ricky to use and we had a great group of people build a ramp to get Ricky in and out of the house more easily. As you can imagine things are very difficult for us financially now that we will only have Rickys disability income to support our house hold while Dee takes the family medical leave act to care for Ricky and we are doing everything we can to keep our home intact .
